Brent Gordon
Brent Gordon came to New Mexico in 1977 to attend college at New Mexico Tech; he loved it here so much he never left. Over the past 40 years he has worked in research and development in a wide variety of areas including lightning research, enhanced oil recovery, munitions testing, RF induction heating, laser diode testing, and composite materials. Brent is currently developing a device to improve sound quality when listening to music via ear buds.
Although not a ham, Brent has been interested in radio since childhood. That interest led to his career in electronics with an emphasis on computer measurement and control. His antenna farm includes C-band, Ku-band, and GPS satellite antennas as well as a quadrifilar helix antenna for receiving NOAA weather satellite images. He also has a variety of software-defined radios.
