2018 Albuquerque Duke City Hamfest/ARRL Rocky Mountain Division Convention

This will be a how-to session on user equipment for DMR including radios, hotspots, and repeaters. We'll looks at what to buy, where to buy it, what to avoid, how to use your equipment, and where to get useful information. We'll also look at the Four Rules of DMR and why they exist:

1.  Always ID the group you're on when you stop talking.
2.  Always wait two seconds before you key up after the end of an incoming trasnsmission.
3.  Don't announce your presence and say "listening;" be specific about why you're calling.

I'll give live demonstrations of all of above equipment categories, including the new concept of IMBY repeaters!
