Rex Harper, the Bob Ross of DIY radio, master kit-builder, and build-a-thon leader extraordinaire, will hold the second of his two build-a-thons with a test-gear theme. This build is a three-fer: an RF probe, a 10w dummy load, and a frequency counter -- no solder needed! (Although you can solder the parts to the board when you get home). If your attended Friday's build-a-thon and put the 10w bidirectional watt meter together, you'll want to put these additional items on your build list. As with Friday's build-a-thon, you'll need a simple tool kit (sans soldering iron): wire stripper, needle-nose pliers, and a small pair of wire-cutters. As he did on Friday, Rex is bringing a few tools if someone forgets an item. But he doesn't have enough for everyone in the room. For details on the builds and instructions on how to sign up, visit
